From a young age, Dr Ishfaq was inspired to pursue dentistry after a memorable visit to the dentist as a child. She was struck not only by the care and kindness shown to her, but also by the calm and welcoming environment of the clinic. That experience stayed with her, and as Dr Ishfaq grew older, she developed a strong interest in healthcare and helping others.

“Dentistry offered the perfect combination of science, hands-on work, and personal interaction, all within a setting that had once made such a positive impression on me. That early inspiration ultimately guided me towards choosing this rewarding profession.”

Dr Ishfaq graduated in 2009 with her bachelor’s degree in Dentistry and MPhil in Community Dentistry. She continues to grow professionally through ongoing education, with a particular interest in fixed prosthodontics. Her commitment to professional development helps her provide up-to-date, high-quality care for every patient.

For Dr Ishfaq, the most fulfilling aspect of working in the dental field is being able to make a real, tangible difference in people’s lives – whether it’s relieving someone’s pain, restoring their confidence through a beautifully enhanced smile, or helping them maintain long-term oral health.

“It’s incredibly rewarding to build trust with patients, see their progress over time, and know that I’ve played a role in improving not just their dental health, but their overall wellbeing.”

When Dr Ishfaq isn’t caring for patients’ smiles, she enjoys baking, cycling, and water colouring.
